Potential Risks and Complications:

- Redness, swelling, and warmth for 1–3 days; pinpoint bleeding and mild crusting are expected
- Grid marks from the needle pattern, fading within days
- Bruising, especially with thinners or fish oil
- Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, more likely with tanned skin, melasma, or darker skin types
- Infection or reactivation of cold sores
- Burns, blistering, or fat loss if energy is too high (rare)
- Scarring (rare)
- Nerve irritation — temporary numbness or tingling (rare)

Most people need a series of 3 treatments 4–6 weeks apart, with collagen results developing over 3–6 months. Numbing cream is applied before treatment.
